Who am I kidding?  China is like the other end of the world from Vancouver, and I had myself convinced otherwise...  You know, with the internet age here and all that, physical distance is nothing, right?  Well, when it takes ten minutes just to read a freakin' email because your email server is in the States, you really FEEL the distance.

 

Yeah, so internet still sucks.

 

What doesn't suck?  Well, I've finished my exams, that's what!  I'm officially on holiday from school now, for two months until we return on March 5.

 

And I can't believe I hadn't done this already - ahem, I've got major bragging to do!

 

I got my HSK 9!!  Woo hoo!  Yeah, remember that exam in October when I thought I'd wasted my money?  Well apparently I'm super SMRT, practically a geni-ass, and I got a NINE!!  Yeah baby yeah!  NINE is in the ADVANCED level!  (Not that I feel it when I just can't follow a conversation...)

 

So yeah, I'm very happy with it.  Could be my biggest accomplishment of the year.  Here's my score in detail:

OK so I JUST BARELY scraped through.  One more wrong in my reading or comprehensive exam, and I wouldn't have received a certificate at all.  I'll just have to take the exam again in April or whenever they offer it next (schedule not up yet) to prove myself to be truly deserving.
