If bad English is Engrish, what is bad Japanese?

 

In China, when a manufacturer wants to appeal its product's quality and reliability, it likes to put Japanese on the packaging.  (English is only for fashion, sorry, quality is Japanese.)  But what does it say about quality when the Japanese is just unacceptable or doesn't make sense?

 

1) Medica toothpaste.  Here, the Japanese isn't TOO bad, but when you read carefully, rather than saying it prevents cavities, it says: "Prevents your teeth from getting eaten by bugs."  Let's get literal.

 

2) Gamada bicycle.  There just couldn't be a name like "Gamada" in Japanese.

 

I realise that non-Japanese speakers won't especially appreciate these photos.  Oh well.
